Here is where I know I am going
A few days ago I bought a one way ticket to Thailand. Many would be concerned but I just did it. One click and it was done. The ticket itself is meaningless but the experience it holds are more important than words can explain.
At this point I have seen a lot, I have done a lot, I have lived a life that many haven´t. I am more lost than I have ever been yet more comfortable than most. I am here, there, nowhere, no more present than a breeze in the woods, a wave cresting in the open ocean.
It is interesting to have no home. By this I mean that I have no place that I am completely comfortable. Sure, I have a bed to sleep in, a roof over my head and the comforts of modern society, but when it comes down I have nothing that is mine besides my back pack, my small blue suitcase and the area that I take up with my being. I am a vagrant, a traveler, a passerby.
What I have learned at this point is that life moves forward, in different ways, in similar ways and that we as a people aren´t all that different. Sure, we speak different languages, we have different experiences but we are all grounded in the same morality, and there is something comforting in that.
I have partied, chilled, learned, forgot, slept and stayed up all night. I am more than I have ever been yet embody a lifestyle of a figment in reality. What I know better than anything is embrace it, challenge yourself and be who YOU want to be. Don´t let silly inhibitions get in the way, the thoughts of others and your own self doubt. BE YOU.
Ill be me.
Who am I?
- Good Question.
Where am I going?
- Who knows.
What is the point of all of this?
- If you have to ask you will never know.
Wanderlust, self exploration and adventure builds the man and I know when I get back it will all be worth it. Until then I will push on, go the extra mile and be the best person I can be. What more is there?
